My name is Melissa Marquez.  I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, San Marcos in 2008.  I earned a BA in History with a minor in Film Studies.  I enjoy the stories of our nation’s past, but more importantly, I am passionate about the research and discovery of new aspects of history.  I love to travel and my favorite places to visit are historic sites, known and unknown to the average American Traveler.  This blog will chart my travels to places I find the most important in telling the history of the United States. This blog will also focus on the research I am doing as I follow my own genealogy.
